In this, our second installment of State Songs, we gathered up former Texan Jonathan Meiburg—of the band Shearwater—and headed out to Hueco Tanks State Historic Site, an incredibly beautiful area not far from El Paso. Meiburg was familiar with it because he's an avid birder, and the views were fantastic. For his Texas song, Meiburg chose the Roy Orbison classic "It's Over," a big hit in 1964 and a classic for the ages.
